Application Process

W&J students interested in pursuing a Magellan Project are highly encouraged to start planning as soon as possible in the academic year. In creating a proposal or submission, students are encouraged to consult with their academic advisors, professors, and staff. Additionally, students should consult the U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Consular Affairs, World Health Organization, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention throughout the application process for travel safety and guidance within proposed locations. Working early in the application process with the W&J Magellan Advisors, faculty, and staff will help mitigate any travel location concerns and explore alternative locations for research. The College reserves the right to deny an application if the proposed research location is deemed unsafe for student travel.
